PostGIS - Spatial Objects for PostgreSQL

PostGIS is an extension to PostgreSQL that provides standards compliant GIS support.
It adds support for geographic objects allowing location queries to be run in SQL. 
It is supported by many 3rd party GIS tools - both open source and proprietary.
PostGIS is written mostly in C.

PostGIS is released under GPLV2+.

This folder contains PostGIS windows binaries for both 32-bit and 64-bit EDB Windows distribution 
and are also available via EDB Stackbuilder.

Latest PostGIS binaries for CentOS, RedHat EL, Ubuntu and Debian are available
via http://yum.postgresql.org and https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Apt

BigSQL Distributions (Linux, MacOS, Windows) include their own version of PostGIS
installable via the PGC installer or pgDevOps management console.
