There is an often asked question: `I want that my footnote numbers
starts on each page with 1. How do I do it?' The simple answer is:
`Use the package footnpag.'

It may be used with all standard document classes (and I assume with
all other well written ones). `Numbering' within this option does not
only mean supplying arabic numbers, if your style sets up appropriate
symbols, they are used instead.

You will need two LaTeX runs, as with cross references or citations.

CAVEAT: Unlike with references LaTeX will not issue a warning if a
footnote number is incorrect due to new page breaks. Thus run
LaTeX always another time if you want a final document.

MANIFEST features a list of files in this distribution.
For installation instructions, check the file INSTALL.

Reference anonymous ftp site:
	ftp.th-darmstadt.de [130.83.47.112]
	directory pub/tex/latex
	file footnpag-<version>.tar.gz
where <version> is the current version number
		(a gzipped tar file)

You'll also find a version of this bundle on CTAN in
macros/latex/contrib/supported/footnpag/.
