You will only find here the patches to gwm v1.5 (X11R4 tape version)
Go into contrib/gwm for the full gwm stuff

To apply the patch:

Go into the GWM source directory, and pipe this patch into 

    uncompress | patch -p

You may want to clean the directory afterwards by a:

    find . \( -name \*.orig -o -size 0 \) -exec rm {} \;

(the version of gwm you have is given in the revision.c file, string
RCS_Version)
